Pastor John received his Master of Divinity Degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began his ministry at St. Stephens in May of 1995, after serving as Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Washington for 6 years. He has served the larger church as a member of the SEPA Candidacy Committee and the Committee of Deans. A strong desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others is what drew Pastor John into ordained ministry. He enjoys a love for worship and music of various styles. He is very interested in the life stories that others share. At the center of his work as a pastor is the belief that God calls diverse people into congregations at specific points in history for a purpose. The job of the congregation, then, is to discern our various gifts and discover how God would work through the unique people of God in this place.
